Guest Post: What Does #one Mean To Me?

This is a guest post by my sister Anika Khan.

When I think of the word #one, I think #oneworld, #onelove #onepeople

I think about how people should treat others with respect and love.

I think about how we are all each just a part of the human race.

No one is better than the other, we are all brothers and sisters that should be supporting and loving each other.

Maybe one day we will see a world Wall Street treats the poor man on the corner with the same respect as they treat each other.

Learning how that person got to that point and bonding on a personal level.

Done with good intentions and not a wannabe heartwarming YouTube video for views.

I think about an Imam, Priest, and Rabi having a friendly, informative, and respectful conversation about how they share similarities on faith and walking away as friends.

I see a transkid feeling accepted and safe with peers without hesitation.

I think flying around the world and bringing people together.

When I think #one, I just think love and unity.

That's what it means to me.
